Important dates

Costume fitting will take place at the studio between October 4th and 18th. Dancers will need to provide their own skin-tone leotards and tights.

Base Costume Requirements – Tights & Shoes

Important note:

Tights, shoes, and nude leotards should blend with your dancer’s natural skin tone. Dancers should wear apparel that reflects their natural complexion, it honors the individuality they bring to the stage.

Nude leotards are recommended for dancers to create an extra layer of coverage between skin and costume. They are not required, but recommended for both easy changing and extra comfort.

Class Base Costume Guidelines

Pre-Primary 1, 2 & 3 Girls

  • Tights: Pink/flesh-toned

  • Shoes: Pink ballet/flesh-toned shoes

Primary 1, 2 & 3 Girls

  • Tights: Pink/flesh-toned

  • Shoes: Pink/flesh-toned ballet shoes

Intermediate 3/4 & Company Girls

  • Tights: Pink/flesh-toned

  • Shoes: Pink/flesh-toned ballet shoes

Ballet Boys

  • Tights: Black

  • Shoes: Black

  • Fitted t-shirt:  white

  • Dance belt as applicable

Tips for a Clean Stage Look

  • Tights should fit flush to skin with no wrinkles, sagging, or holes

  • Shoes should match the tights as closely as possible

  • All dancers should ensure shoes are secured and properly fitted for safety and appearance with strings tucked in
